• 0 commentsAs a tribute to Steve Jobs, De Bethune has created a 12 piece limited edition "spaceship inspired" IPhone shield in polished and bead-blasted titanium. The Dream Watch IV dial is hand polished titanium with gold and diamond stars. The raised, arrow-shaped "spine" draws the eye to the silver hour and minute disks.
The Dream Watch IV follows De Bethune's launch of the DBM, a crocodile cell phone case fitted with a traditional two-hand timepiece, referred to by De Bethune as a "pocketwatch for the 21st century".

• 0 commentsAstronauts from the landmark Gemini and Apollo NASA programs have joined Omega in Las Vegas at a special event to celebrate an exhibit that features rare artifacts from the iconic space missions. The exhibit displays artifacts that include a Lunar Rover, an Apollo 10 space suit and Omega Speedmaster watches. The exhibit is open to the public, and runs from October 20th to 24th at the City Center in Las Vegas.

On Friday, April 15th, 1983,106 antique timepieces worth millions of dollars were stolen from the LA Mayer Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem, Israel. Among them was a pocket watch made for Marie Antoinette, the Breguet No 160, called the "Queen", made by the famous watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet.

Jeter is the first Yankee baseball player to achieve this feat. The new Movado watch features an Indigo blue metallic dial customized with Jeter's number 2 positioned prominently at 2 o'clock.

To honor the victory, Heuer reworked an existing 1930's model and created the new "Monza" limited edition series. The new chronograph's dial sported the Monza name above the Heuer logo.
In the early 2000s, the Monza was reintroduced as part of the vintage Classic Heuer Collection.

The newly redesigned AirBoss will be simpler in it's design, and slightly smaller at 42 mm. The watch has a pilot-inspired look, but the watch's details make a statement of functionality, reliability and precision. The government didn't want the Soviet Union to get its hands on Bulova's revolutionary new Accutron technology any sooner than was absolutely necessary. The movement's tuning-fork oscillator made it the most accurate watch movement then in existence. NASA planned to use Accutron timers on its satellites, and knew that introducing the Accutron watch before the first Accutron-timed satellite was launched would be tipping its hand to the Soviets.
